In praise of Kevyn Aucoin
Kevyn Aucoin. Genius and Gone Far too soon. Not soon enough for his name to be knocked onto a brand that picks colours that he wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole. Okay, I’ll admit I groove to Pure Powder Glow in Myracle Hot Pink — which is a versatile fucshia with an amazingly neutral (for “fucshia”) undertone that naturally flushes a variety of complexions. Additionally, those Great brushes. Limited foundation colours, widening distribution. That means one thing. Estee Lauder. Bye, Kevyn. Miss you Much.

I love reading your make up comments. I like this brand but I only see it online sometimes. where can I buy it if I can’t get to bergdorf in nyc?
I like the line. It still transfers some of that cover shoot chic. There is an eyeshadow palette with a grey and two browns which I think is excellent. Also that hot pink comes in a cream formula — could work for dryer skin. Another interesting line outside of the mainstream. And I agree about the brushes.
Oh, and Sybil – They sell direct. Just click on Kevyn’s name in pink in umyum’s post. – Wendy
