What a pleasant surprise. Yumyum had seen a small collection of Rosalina Lydster’s fare as presented by Neiman Marcus. We weren’t taken enough by the concept of totem animals to splurge that price of admission into a chunk of morganite shaped like a dragon. We were so Wrong.

Truly a treat, she caught us off guard at a Personal in Tampa on 9 November with four solid cases of her witty takes on the organic, gothic, and basically Girly (signature: bow!!) jewelry in her repertoire.

I thought much of the press had been stragically placed by a bucket of cash, not so, despite Paris Hilton’s presence, Rosalina overcomes the pay to play presence by some solid designs influenced by a vietnamese/french heritage and a love of design.

She rose to the challenge of creating a cuff in her rather ethereal scripted cuff style (of course, we want it to read: YUMYUMCHERRY) –and delighted us with some of the prettiest jewels we’ve seen since Sharon Khazzam (thank you).

Worth a look, Rosalina will be in Florida UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL 10 November in Boca Raton (her inventory will still be stocking the counters Saturday, November 11–tho’ Rosalina herself may be otherwise engaged) and in Merrick Park, Coral Gables, Florida–15 November. Definitely a chance to see an up and coming designer with a well-earned place beside the likes of Loree Rodkin and Lorraine Schwartz (check out Town and Country, you’ll want more)!!

    Is Paris Hilton really as vapid as she appears. Rosalina needs to cozy up with new clients. Read the take on RL’s Line. I saw it in Hawaii–some nice stones, but what’s with the Rodkin rip offs? I like the heart ring and some of the animal shapes are great-I have a client in Hong Kong hat has a curio full of them as a collection. I don’t think she wears them. Yumyum, you get around, I’m emailing my phone number, I’d love to shop with you.
