Oxygene, Bal Harbour
What if Lucien Pellat Finet and Mohammed Al Fayed had a child? Well, while it would make the National Enquirer cover, it still probably couldn’t become a British Subject. That said, Harrods’ famed owner does have a daughter –Jasmine de Milo– who has scored a MAJOR collaboration with cashmere guru, LPF to churn out her own signature line.
While we did spy her special room at Daddy’s store in London three months ago, you can view the even better EDIT of her collection at Oxygene, Bal Harbour. Felix and Shayne Cohen own and operate the Boutique–they offer some of the most eclectic fare in North America.
Shayne’s past life (not in the totally spiritual sense here, kiddos) with Louis Vuitton has honed her eye for the Best Buy this side of Alchemist (Roma Cohen’s UBER TRENDY ENTERPRISE temporarily at 1604 Washington Ave., Miami).
Labels include: LGB, Great China Wall, Zac Posen, McQueen, Casa Nostra, Shelly Litvak–and specialty furs that you can’t trap anywhere else. Located on the second floor of The Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, Florida–305-864-0202, ask for Jasmine.
While you’re exploring fashion’s finest, don’t forget–‘Boys just want to have fun,’ too. While the big guys can snap up some cool threads (distract them while you pile the counter with your booty) in the men’s section of Oxygene—stop by Baby Oxygene a few doors down. Adorable fare for girls, but what’s even less common is the selection for boys. We’ll have your little dude as chic as Maddox Jolie-Pitt before you can say ‘credit card authorization….’

Talking about Kingsley, did you realize that Lucien Pellat-Finet has a children’s line? I went to check out the current catalog on his website and was so suprised to find kids draped in his cashmeres. If I remember correctly, Look 41 features a kid in jeans with a pirate logo. He seems to have stayed away from putting his tradmark Leaf on the kids line.
Glad LPF saved his cannabis range for the Size 16Plus fans. I did see a few cute sweaters in LA–it’s much harder finding boy’s stuff that doesn’t look too preppy. I don’t guess my son, Lucien, necessarily needs a $950 cashmere peace sign cardigan, but it was tempting–(and No, I did not name him after M. Pellat-Finet, but I do pronounce it as if I did)–sanity, and a referral from my credit card company pretty well surpressed my spree. I’ve heard he’s opening yet ANOTHER storefront in Tokyo. Guess I need to start stockpiling my YEN. Thanks again for the update, FI!
Thank you so much for your comments!!!! They are so flatering coming from you.
If you ever get a chance, the phone number for Oxygene is wrong, the correct one is 305 864 0202.
It was wonderful to see you together with all your family.
Big Hugh,
Shayne
It now reads correctly. Thanks Shayne!
