Jolee’s Boutique

These paper widget details are getting interesting.

I love some of the concepts this company offers (although in its pursuit to hallmark certain dates a few of their ‘events’ embellishments are borderline tasteless — check out the “Congratulations ‘you’re pregnant’ series”). One could argue that the stickers themselves are fine, it’s who buys them and how they are used.

Still, in the spirit of fun…..our current faves (of course) include:

Jolee's Boutique dimensional paper stickers Florida

Jolee's Boutique travels to Japan

And, who can resist “Girls’ Night” with the pink PJs, video and adorable popcorn replica:

Jolee's Boutique Girls' Night IN

Now all I need is the paper limousines to arrive with the Jolee’s rendition of Chippendales dancers.

Wow, no wonder scrapbooking is such a craze. (Remember to get the “Night in Jail” series, you’ll want to devote a few pages to your first bust.)

YYC’s favorite cancers: Jude and David Jones

Happy B’day to Judith and David Jones!

In the studio with Jude

How can one family have such talent? I mean, my son is nimble with language and I’m still trying to wrap my tongue around ‘Gozai Imas’….., but Jude’s watercolour paintings are brilliant. She is not only accomplished, but prolific. We adore her architectural studies, too.

Brother David (see MY FAVE JACKET) has amazing brushstokes and a gallery that sells out of his paintings in NYC almost as quickly as the commissioned pieces are sold. Truly a talent to be reckoned with…..

Many birthday wishes beamed out from YYC to the Jones’ Duo–Happy 29, AGAIN.
Love YOU BOTH

I guess we’re all used to international symbols (my favourite is still the variety posted near San Diego of what appears to be migrants running across the border–and, yes, I’m serious).

I must admit, I thoroughly appreciate ANY signage at all when I am in the Middle East (think Dubai, not Virginia) and Japan.

Apparently, Karl Lagerfeld (ponytail and all….but, where is the fan?) has been immortalized in ICON glory by a team in Germany called Iconwerk.

Behold: Karl Crossing!
