Cartier Christmas

Okay, while I love a ruby gold leaf/lettered box as much as the next gal (fellas—keep those blue wrapped-in-white-ribbon babies at bay, this talk is SERIOUS).

I admit, the current fare in Boutique is somewhat lacklustre in a double digit way. I’ve had this Orchidée collection until my YinYang is sore (don’t ask, I think it happened in China…..).

If you must MUST MUST by Cartier (and yes, Ann, that means you) pitch for the charms (I like the Indian Bonnet, but I would do, wouldn’t I) The range of charms have, well, CHARM.

Anna Sui

Anna Sui cherry earrings

We love her Cherry Drop earrings (of course) not to mention the YUMMY CHERRY Necklace (both items purchased at Mitsukoshi, The Ginza).

A wide array of Sui’s collection of whimsical fashion, cosmetics and accessories are widely sold throughout Tokyo— Of course, those of you ‘just passin’ through’ Narita (NRT to those of us that travel far, far too much) can snap up her black lacquer encased cosmetic line at Duty Free. The Little Hand Mirrors with the Pink Pouf Makeup Brush make an exceptionally good gift for someone who likes novelty (and, well, never really intends to use it). Functionality is not Sui’s strong suit.

Chanel Sublimage

Just when I thought it was a dessert, voila.

Chanel Sublimage cream

Okay, grudgingly, I will admit that I think it works. I should be more thrilled since after paying $350 for a plop of this (Who do they think they are, Starbucks?) I am still amazed that I feel any difference at all. How is that for jaded consumerism.

I think it could actually be doing something. Now, while that might sound a bit lukewarm by testimonial standards, I have bought cases of La Prairie and have seen no personal results. Therefore, this might just be the one to try…..for a while anyway.

On the bright side, it’s easier than ordering it after dinner at Beige.
