Stella McCartney Lingerie Collection to debut 2008

Hard to imagine a woman whose signature style which features non existent bustlines crafting bras…but, people have franchised their names for less.

Stella Mac–known for her status cult client base almost as much as for revamping the Chloe label–propelling it to a marketable venture–has decided to branch into a new direction of design.

Bendon, a company that produces Elle MacPherson’s lingerie line, will introduce Stella’s intimates to the global market. Available at upscale boutiques and at Stella’s free standing shops worldwide beginining in January.

The line will feature sexy confident silhouettes for modern women (hopefully WITH breasts—for a change) in silk, organic cotton, and silk chiffon. I’m assuming a plethora of colours ranging from dusty pink to dusty mauve. Just the thing to make me look seasick.

Time for some kind of resolution. Maybe even one for New Years’.

Still not convinced that Stella’s flat Space Age silver Tote is the answer to my BLINGing in the Summer. It’s innocuous enough, but somewhat unimaginative (of course, with metallics, less IS more)–also featured in white vinyl. And, note, Stella doesn’t do leather–so none of the bags are PATENT.

Cherry Picks for May

Of course, Cherry scented colognes–a blurry of which have hit the shelves (in honour of the blossoming sakura?)

L'Occitane Fleurs de Cerisier perfume and talc

Our personal choice at YYC is the L’Occitane variety. Not as cloyingly sweet as Fresh’s fragranced cherries, not as candy-like as Masaki Matsushima’s Mat Cherry.

A sweeter take: Masaki Mat Cherry

We love Louboutin’s blue patent t-strap and slingback shoes-fresh and feminine, Louis Vuitton eyewear–groove to that deep azure frame or the cool grey. While Chloe is looking more like Marni than Marni ever did…it’s hard to argue with the crisp pastels and genuinely pretty skirts that grace the knee.
How ’bout a hot dinner date with Angel Sanchez? We spied a delicious candy apple dress with a bubble hem and enough pizzazz to make us wonder why we haven’t bought him before….
