Phoebe of Rare Accents

Kudos to talented ‘Phoebe’ (aka ‘Tiffany’) Clum of Rare Accents Salon in scenic (ahem) Palm Harbor, Florida for her tireless endeavour to whip my locks into shape. It does indeed ‘take a Village’ to plaster my locks in place. She makes it all look so easy.

Phoebe of Rare Accents

REAL (and consistent) Talent is hard to find.

I’ve scoured venues in: London (Harvey Nick’s and Harrod’s salons), New York-(Frederic Fekkai), Miami (Ling Chow), Washington, D.C. (Christophe), Los Angeles, (Jose EBER), PARIS (Christophe Robin), Tokyo (Pastel). I have No Choice, I can barely comb out all this hair on my own—forget style…and I can honestly attest to the skill Ms. Clum has exhibited.

I thank ‘Phoebe’ and you will, too……colour and extension specialty.

Cartier Christmas

Okay, while I love a ruby gold leaf/lettered box as much as the next gal (fellas—keep those blue wrapped-in-white-ribbon babies at bay, this talk is SERIOUS).

I admit, the current fare in Boutique is somewhat lacklustre in a double digit way. I’ve had this Orchidée collection until my YinYang is sore (don’t ask, I think it happened in China…..).

If you must MUST MUST by Cartier (and yes, Ann, that means you) pitch for the charms (I like the Indian Bonnet, but I would do, wouldn’t I) The range of charms have, well, CHARM.

Tiffany Signature Jewelry Roll

Better than a Sushi Roll, it’s the Tiffany Signature Jewelry Roll.

the Tiffany jewelry roll makes a nice present

Love that Tiffany Blue leather–it makes an elegant gift that’s not too personal, but better than Soap-on-a-Rope (Do they still make that?) or a gift card to the Olive Garden. It has a a deep inner zipped compartment to make sure Mummy’s diamond doesn’t roll down the drain, a ring roll, and all snaps together in a jiffy.

the inside of the Tiffany jewelry roll is lined in suede

I think it’s the mystique of the blue box with white ribbon, but in truth, it’s a lovely way to stow pieces for a weekend getaway. If you travel with your own porter and hard case Louis Vuitton Luggage (and are used to the subsequent body cavity seaches that now coincide at International airports with use of same) then this is not for you.
