Zac Attack

Another capsule collection from Target: American Designer Zac Posen.

Love, Love the capsule collection. M. Posen does a riff on his signature dress style in a solid pink and print version for the collection–$40 a pop, not too bad.

Additionally, the staple shirt with some smock embellishment in white cotton for $30.

The style elements are intact.

YYC’s fave pieces are definitely the Red leather (pleather?) jacket for $200 (okay, $199, but c’mon) and a denim dress that has style but looks easy.

The yellow gold brocade dress featured in the campaign is trying a bit hard and doesn’t hit the mark.
We spied tuxedo pants and a matching jacket in black/navy. The problem is more the fit than the material. Zac’s custom measurements aren’t applying here, so if you normally wear his signature label, S, M, L, XL might not work for you. Most pieces seem to be quite short-waisted.
Overall, interesting components, but use sparingly.

StefonWestfield Says:
Why is it that Target limits their capsule collections to women’s wear and household goods?
I buy the few Liberty print shirts for men that they offered, and a few neckties, but seriously–can’t they expand their range for fashion conscious men?
