Runway For Japan!
Bunka Fashion College was the backdrop for May 15th’s RUNWAY FOR JAPAN Event sponsored by Shiro Furukawa-president of Six Inch Inc. and Dr. Sena Vafa, Runway for Hope. This co-sponsored charitable event was fueled to raised funds and awareness for the victims of the Tohoku Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
Yuriko Koike (Representative for Tokyo’s 10th District–and briefly, but stylishly, Japanese Defense Minister for the Abe administration) opened the Event. It was heralded as a celebration of design and collective ambition for the future, not merely mourning for the past.
The gala featured designs by Hiroko and Junko Koshino as well as other upcoming fashion luminaries on Japan’s horizon.

Dearest Norma, its very kind of you to add our event info and photo in your site. Just a quick note though.
Shiro Furukawa was the Producer and I am one of the partners for this event. There were a group of 10 organizers and collaborators to accomplish this project. Basically we united hand in hand and did this for Japan. There was no Sponsors at all. Due to the time limitation and sudden decision to arrange this.
I will tell you more later this week once we meet.
Warmly,
Sena-san, It is always a Delight to see you (truly-and my goodness your croc boots were an Event onto themselves) Thank you for including us in ‘Runway For Japan!’ Let’s collaborate and get some Yen/Dollars/Euros/Awareness Raised for the Cause. GABATTE MASU.
