Proenza Schouler (aka Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez) plan to launch both a capsule collection for Target and a lipstick collaboration with Lancome for the ‘Pout-a-Porter’ Line both to debut early next year….think like four weeks kids…..

I find it rather intriguing that this follows Behnaz Sarafpour’s collection for Target as well as her recent endeavour with Lancome. Either it’s a Menage a Trois or a very small creative world. I think the first, but I have a dirty mind.

Nonetheless, with P/S’s legendary affiliation with Anna Wintour, we’re sure this will be a resounding success whether the clothing is wearable or not. Dying to see how they mass market some of their fitted camisoles with elaborate breast accent quilted detailing for the mass markets.

While I like the idea of P/S, it seems to be a bit unwearable in general. Behnaz has some lovely ideas and we’ve enjoyed the way she’s translated some of her core designs in velvet and sheer whites to give a workable fashion statement to the public through her bridge collection distributed at Target (most noteably, she did an amazing black trench coat with self tie belt for $75):

Where Proenza Schouler and Behnaz Sarafpour tread, Zac Posen is sure to follow. Hark, dare we suspect the Posen Posey pink pout for Lanome—-or yet another Target hit at Target????? Let’s watch.
