Chinzanso
Ah, the Gardens in Bunkyo, my favourite place to withdraw into the depths of Tokyo. Splendour in the Grass. Five years ago, the paths were gravel paved, now they are poured concrete. Still what an unsurpassed Haven in a metropolitan monolith like Tokyo.
I always save some coins for the different Kami that deck the lanes.
Chinzanso itself is a fantastic wedding destination. Saturday/Sunday is awash with yards of embroidered kimonos and lovely ladies donning same. A photographer’s feast.
Highly recommended if you find yourself with a weekend to kill in the land of the rising sun and want a bit more from life than the hustle/bustle of Rappongi neon.

It looks like a lovely garden and a beautiful, sunny day. Enjoyed the supplementary photos on Flickr. What a great Trim! A suede, fringed, Western look with a French grape twist!
